It seems like right after I read the next page, I forget what I have read before, no matter how slow I've tried
You are like me and millions other. I have one technique to combat this at the end.
Our brain has a part (i think hypothalamus or something) which decides whats important and whats not. Everyone's hypothalamus is different. For some that decision is mostly unimportant and then they forget it but for others the decision is its important so they remember.
Its frustrating and annoying I know. But there is not much you can do except getting your emotions involved in some way. Hypothalamus considers whatever is emotionally intense as important.
May be stuff you are reading just does not excite your emotions much. But trust me trying to involve emotions in everything is exausting. So here is a technique
Pretend that whatever you are reading now, you have to share or teach or tell it to someone you care about and its really really important that they understand this. May be for a few weeks really teach it to someone or yourself in mirror.
Hope that helps :). Share this post with friends on your social media accounts..
