American University Yola Holds 2016/17 Session Matriculation Ceremony.

The American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, has matriculated 157 new students into the university for the class of 2018.
Speaking at the matriculation event on Monday, the President of the University, Margie Ensign, said that the university was committed toward supporting less privileged intellectual students to actualised their dreams.
“The university is strategising toward supporting the orphans and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in North-East region devastated by insurgency.
“And it would expand the educational programme to reach out more orphans in Adamawa and neighbouring Borno and Yobe states,” Ensign said.
Ensign noted that the institution was presently conducting peace and reconciliation programmes in some Boko Haram affected communities that included Michika, Mubi and Madagali Local Government Areas.
She added that the university was working closely with the National University Commission to introduce degree courses in engineering, medicine and public health. (NAN)
